Prof. Dr. Elsy Verhofstadt is a full professor in the Department of Economics at Ghent University (UGent), where she specialises in welfare economics and labour economics, with a focus on well-being and work. She plays an active role in the Business Economics programme and the curriculum, including supervising research methods and bachelor projects. At UGent she teaches courses such as Social Policy, Research Methods for Business, Applied Welfare Economics, Socio-Economic Policy, and Bachelor Project.
